How to test your Vitamins
As a small eater and someone with anemia I rely on vitamins to help me get my nutrients. They are extremely important and I've become very selective
There is a lot that goes into finding your own balance of nutrients. Once you know what vitamins you are deficient in you need to test what brand or type is best for you. The best way to get vitamins and minerals is through fresh organic raw food. Then vitamins are used to supplement your diet.
There are many forms, liquid, chews, gummies, tablets, gel capsule, and soft capsules.
For me gummy and soft gel capsules work the best. My body has an easier time breaking the gummy apart and absorbing its content then a tablet. Not all my vitamins are gummies but most of them are.
How to know if you're absorbing your vitamins?
There are many 3 test I take when I want to know if my vitamin is actually working..
1. How do I feel?
I take a step back and observe how I feel after taking any supplement...
Most vitamins that work for me give me a lot of energy, If I don't see an energy boost or mood boost then I assume its not working for me.
2 Test: disintegration test.
3. If my urine is bright yellow then I know my body didn't absorb all of those vitamins.
Here is a link to the at home disintegration test: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/hometest.asp
One very important thing to keep in mind that excessive use of vitamins are harsh on your body and can lead to liver disease and even liver failure.
More to come on this subject including reviews on specific brands and vitamins and my own vitamin regime.
What would you like to know about vitamins?
