Top 5 Vitamins for people who suffer from Lupus





Vitamin A 

People who suffer from Lupus often have skin problems like, malar rash  on the face, and photosensitivity.  Vitamin A also known as retinol is very important for healthy skin and soft tissue.  Vitamin A should be taken with vitamin D.  

Foods high in Vitamin A: sweet potatoes, kale, carrots, butternut squash, lettuce, red potatoes, tuna fish, and mango. 


Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12is very important for everyone!   People who suffer from Lupus can benefit from vitamin B12 for many reasons.   Vitamin b12 can help with stress, immune boost and energy.   

Foods high in vitamin b12: shell fish, beef liver, mackerel, and eggs.

higher levels of vitamin D surfer less lupus symptoms 
than those who have less.Vitamin D is free!  
You can get your daily recommended does of 
vitamin D by letting the sun shine on you for 5 minutes :)
unfortunately one of the lupus symptoms 
is photosensitive.  In that case leafy greens 
such as organic spinach can help you boost your 
vitamin D levels. Lupus sufferers also experience bone pain or arthritis.   Vitamin d also helps the body absorb calcium which fortifies bones.  

Foods high in vitamin d: 
 Cod liver, caviar, salmon, fish oils, eggs, camembert cheese, mushrooms& soy. 


Vitamin E

Vitamin E  can help people who suffer from lupus  because it is an antioxidant.  Vitamin E neutralizes the free radicals that cause havoc and  damaging tissue.    

Foods high in Vitamin D 
Almonds, tofu,  avocado, sunflower seeds, butternut squash and 
pumpkin
