After viewing this video my husband and I decided to change their diet plan completely… They used to eat a mixture of both cat and dog dry food (they shared with our dog). We just picked up 3 cans of NutriPlan Turkey and Giblets dinner. I have not researched the best cat wet food, as we have just gotten back from a vacation in Salvo, NC and needed some cat food that wasn’t dry cat food. I will research soon which is the best and most affordable canned cat food we can buy.
Dublin and London (who are from the same litter and were born in August of 2006) are sharing a can of NutriPlan (wet cat food) a day, a hardboiled egg and water. In the wet cat food I have ground up some cat vitamins that I purchased from www.1800Petmeds.com. They are simple multi vitamins and a vitamin to help with hairballs. We have just started the plan today on August 9, 2009. We will make sure to keep you updated on any difference we see in our cat. The video states that cats will have to be eased into this food. I disagree, cats love wet food instead of dry food because it has so much flavor. The only down fall is that wet food is bad for our cats teeth! I will have to find out how to remedy that.
NurtiPlan’s ingredients: Meat by-products, poultry by-products, sufficient water for processing, turkey, poultry giblets, fish, guar gum, salt, titanium dioxide, carrageenan, potassium chloride, sodium tripolyphosphate, vitamins: E, A, D3,B2 supplements, thiamine mononitrate, niacin, d-calcium pantothenate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin, iron sulfate, zinc oxide, copper proteinate, manganous sulfate, potassium iodine, sodium selenite, choline chloride, and taurine.
The Vitamins are Vita Chews and Shed terminator for cats. Both of these vitamins were purchased at http://www.1800pedmeds.com/
